Through our work, Citámbulos asks how cities and urban form and life can be made public? That is, what means do we have to bring people and issues together and to create spaces for public discussion on the future of our cities?
Curating the City was an exhibition in Stuttgart in September 2012. It addressed the question of how curatorial practice and exhibition space can operate as active thinking spaces within urban research. The exhibition was designed as an open archive and material conversation with Citámbulos. It invited the audience to reflect on ‘the art of listening’, on ‘imagination as method’ and on ‘remarking the unremarkable’ of our cities.
