Of special concern for Citámbulos is to explore and reflect on the methods we use for urban research. All methods are creative and we aim our methods to be responsive to each situation and topic, ’emplaced’ and collaborative. Hence we work with artists and architects, social scientists and computer programmers, biologists and sound engineers. And above all, we work together with inhabitants: urban practitioners, specialist in everyday (urban) life.
The methods we have used range from visual methods to sound, from interventions to imagination, from walking to curating. And we do a lot of talking, too.
We presented a selection of audio-visual methods at the Second International Visual Methods conference in 2011 for which you can find more details here.
